This is not a professional grade tutorial, but is an example of an actual install, which I'm still using even after the tutorial.
Note: There is a project to describe the state of ubuntu, called ubuntu screencasts They are being made available in flash and ogg formats Most linux users use ogg for video and audio, if you have windows there are video players for ogg that can show these screencasts.

I found this to be necessary even in Gutsy Full Release. You also have to have installed the ubuntu media extras in the general install package in the start menu.
