How to edit the Hue and Saturation tools to change someone's hair colour using Gimp
Amy Authbert
Ever wanted to know what you'd look like with a completely different hair colour but not wanted to waste the money on hair dye and risk looking like an idiot? Well in this screencast, we show you how you can cut out the whole of your hair using the Path Create tool in Gimp, paste it onto another layer and then play around with the colour settings before finally adding it back onto your head to see the finished results. Simply use the path tool to draw around all of your hair, hit the enter key, copy the selection onto a new layer and begin playing around with the colours. You can even edit the Lightness and Saturation as well and set the opacity of the hair to blend in with the original layer to give a more natural finishing look.
