Improving smudged areas in your Gimp Project by blending them instead

Again, in this screencast we have used the tattoo design of a flower as an example and here we show you how we've blended two colours together on one of the petals by using the smudge tool. However, if you want to blend your colours more effectively but have already applied these settings, then we're going to show you how to use the free select tool to select around the area you want to edit and how to use the eyedropper tool to get your colours precise, without ruining any of your design. . . .
